Graduation!… Finally!

After years of perseverance and dedication, the day finally arrived on December 20th, 2025—I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Music Production from Full Sail University! It’s been a long time coming, and while the journey took a bit longer than planned, the destination feels even more rewarding. Over the past two years, I’ve been juggling family, work, military obligations, and school, which has been an incredible challenge. Despite the hardships, the unwavering support of my friends and family made all the difference. A goal that I once thought should have been achieved years ago is now a reality, and reflecting on this journey, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every step, even the missteps, taught me something valuable.

Although it took longer than expected, I didn’t waste time. Between my initial college attempt and finally finishing my degree, I’ve achieved milestones that have shaped me in ways I couldn’t have imagined. Ironically, getting kicked out of college the first time may have been the catalyst for some of the best experiences and decisions in my life.

One of my greatest accomplishments has been my military career. Starting as a Private First Class (PV2), I worked my way through the enlisted ranks to Staff Sergeant (SSG) and now proudly hold the title of Warrant Officer 1 (WO1). Along the way, I attended numerous leadership and technical schools, including Air Assault. Early in my career, I competed in several Best Warrior competitions, and more recently, I’ve had the honor of mentoring and training others for the same challenges. My military journey has also afforded me the opportunity to earn certifications and gain expertise in my career field. While military life isn’t always perfect, I’ve made the most of it and found immense value in the experiences and opportunities it has provided.

Beyond the military, I’ve achieved personal and professional growth. My career moves have fueled my passion for technology, allowing me to work on specialized electronic systems and expand my knowledge in Information Technology. Through hard work and determination, I’ve pursued certifications and developed new skill sets that have propelled me forward. Along the way, I’ve celebrated major milestones, like buying my first house—a monumental step that validated the efforts I’ve invested in building my life. I even experienced the thrill of buying a brand-new car and having it delivered, a unique and memorable moment.

However, the greatest success of all has been starting a beautiful family. Life stays busy, but my family’s love and support keep me motivated every single day. In the military, we often sacrifice time with our loved ones, and those moments apart can be tough on everyone. But my family has been my rock, supporting me through every decision and every challenge. Words can’t fully express my gratitude for them. Like any family, we have our ups and downs, but they are my greatest source of strength and inspiration.

Of course, this journey has been filled with more accomplishments than I can list here. Suffice it to say, my time has been well spent. Graduating from Full Sail University is a milestone that marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. The road wasn’t always easy, and it certainly wasn’t always fun, but it’s a road I’m proud to have traveled.

So, what’s next? The possibilities are endless. Maybe I’ll pursue a master’s degree, finally learn to fly a plane, or become a certified scuba diver (probably not this one). Whatever the future holds, with me, it’s sure to be interesting. Here’s to the next adventure!
